Audience Targeting
What is it?
Streaem offers retailers the possibility to use their customer data as a targeting option for the advertisers in on site display campaigns. This targeting can be used by advertisers to increase the relevance and performance of their campaigns.
Audience targeting in Streaem works exactly the same as category targeting. We match the targeted audience (used by the advertiser) based on the audience value we receive from the retailer in the placement ad request.
Important:Audience targeting is only supported for placement ad requests
What needs to happen?
- Share audience feed with Streaem.
- Send audience names in audience attribute in placement endpoint / requests to Streaem.
- Test and validate implementation of audiences works correct. This is done together with the Streaem team.
Important:
- Sharing the audience data
Streaem will share a file format in which the retailer needs to share the audiences. This file will then be ingested into the retailer account in order to make these audiences available for targeting by the advertisers.
- Data correctness
The names of the audiences in the feed need to be the same as the one(s) sent in the audience value attribute in the ad request. Streaem uses these values to match the targeting by the advertiser with the incoming requests send by the retailer.
- Updating / adding audiences
Retailers are free to update or add new audiences for their advertisers. If the retailer has made updates, they will need to share the audience file with Streaem so that we can process these changes in their account.- Audience attribute
In the placement endpoint we have an audiences attribute, this can be used to share the audience names with Streaem. The retailer is responsible to determine how this field is filled with the audience names to which the customer belongs.
